Get Knowledge

  • Being new to the team, I received guidance from senior designers.

  • They introduced me to the existing component library and previous grants to help me understand the project’s standards and workflows

Component Library Improvement

  • The component library developed earlier lacked certain best practices, such as optimized auto-layout functions and clear branding guidelines.

  • I worked on improving the visual layout and consistency by implementing these practices in my designs.

Challenges and Learnings

What was difficult?

  • Adapting - To understand and align with existing design patterns to keep everything consistent

  • Improving the Component Library - The component library was unorganized and lacked auto-layout which led to unorganized components within the existing wireframes

What did I learn?

  • Value of a Well-Organized Library - Improving the component library showed me how important organized elements and auto-layout are for smooth design updates

  • Visual Consistency design- Working on the component library taught me the importance of visual consistency, ensuring all elements align with brand guidelines
